ABI Strengthens Analyst Teams in US and UK

Technology researcher ABI Research has appointed Cesar Bachelet to the position of Senior Analyst, Multi-Channel Video and Zippy Aima as Industry Analyst, Digital Media.

Based in London, Bachelet's lead analyst remit covers global multi-channel video markets, including pay-TV technology platforms, operator strategies, and services delivered over cable TV, satellite, digital terrestrial, and IPTV networks. He has eighteen years' experience in the telecoms industry, and joins from Understanding & Solutions, where he was a consultant focused on the digital distribution of video content over broadband, cable and satellite networks. Previous jobs included three years rising to Senior Analyst at Ovum, and 14 years at BT in positions including Competitor Analyst within the Consumer Division (now BT Retail).

Bachelet has presented and moderated sessions at a number of conferences, and is widely quoted in the media. He holds a BA (Hons) from the Open University, and a BTEC HNC in Business & Finance from London South Bank University; and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (ACIL).

Based in San Antonio, Texas, Aima will concentrate on digital media markets including content protection, DRM, digital media storage, and digital asset management. She worked as an IT research analyst at Frost & Sullivan for three years, and previously in HR positions at Shoppers' Stop Ltd, and IT system integrator Samtech InfoNet Ltd. She holds an MBA in HR and IT from the Institute of Management Studies & Research, Maharishi Dayanand University (India).
