TNS Launches Interactive Services in Latin America

TNS is launching its 6thdimension Interactive Research services in Latin America and has appointed Trixie Cartwright as Regional Director for Interactive Research, based in Buenos Aires.

The firm's 6thdimension online access panel offering was launched in 2005 (www.mrweb.com/drno/news3803.htm ). Its new service in Latin America, to be launched next week, will include a full range of online research services among both consumer and business communities in the region.

Mark Walton, TNS Regional Director for 6thdimension Interactive Research for Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa, explained: 'We have been assessing online opportunities in Latin America for some time and have conducted a number of successful tests there. These have confirmed that the Internet is becoming increasingly the most reliable and effective method of reaching many target audiences.'

Cartwright moves from her present position as Research Director at TNS Global Interactive in London, where for the past four years she has been involved in understanding and validating all aspects of online research including the use of interactive solutions and managed access panels. Prior to joining, she worked in Ecuador. She is fluent in Spanish.

Commenting on the new appointment, Wander Meijer, TNS Regional Director for Latin America, said: 'Trixie is a true specialist in interactive research. Her global experience, along with her Spanish language skills and knowledge of Latin America, make her ideally suited to this role.'

In the last week, TNS has merged its panel service in China with that of its joint venture CTR Market Research to measure household consumption in 20 provinces and four municipality cities (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7840.htm ). The company is online at www.tns-global.com.
