Faber to Lead Ipsos CEEA Strategy

Ipsos has appointed Research International South Africa's former CEO Cees Faber as Director of its marketing strategy in Central and Eastern Europe and Africa (CEEA).

The new role will be based in Prague, but until Faber relocates in August, he will be working in the Johannesburg office of Ipsos Markinor (which was acquired by Ipsos last September - www.mrweb.com/drno/news7334.htm ).

Discussing his new role, Faber observed: 'Developing markets will continue to offer strong and profitable growth opportunities to both Ipsos and our clients. Market research provides the tools to optimise customer potential and leverage early-mover-advantage. Especially in regions where there is limited reliable secondary data available, it is of utmost importance to conduct credible primary research.'

Before joining Research International, Faber was Head of Standard Bank's Insight department. Former Unilever Marketing Director Angy Ireland has replaced him as CEO of RI South Africa (www.mrweb.com/drno/news8046.htm ).
