RAND Sets Up Brussels Base

RAND Europe has opened an office in Brussels to support the not-for-profit research organisation's growing portfolio of work with policy institutions in the city. Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau heads up the new office.

New Brussels Offices for RANDThe firm, which is headquartered in Cambridge, UK, is the European arm of the global RAND Corporation, based in the US. The organisation works to improve policy and decision making through independent research and analysis, largely for the public sector.

'This truly demonstrates RAND's commitment to a pan-European focus,' said President Jonathan Grant. 'We can diversify and increase our client base, which enables us to become a larger player in informing European policy making.'

Prior to joining RAND Europe van Oranje-Nassau worked at the European Commission in the Cabinet of the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, and before this, he was a Management Consultant in the operations practice at Booz Allen Hamilton in London. He has a Masters Degree in Law from Leiden University and an MBA from INSEAD at Fontainebleau.

RAND Europe's internationally diverse research staff carry out multidisciplinary work in specific areas of expertise which include health and healthcare, information policy, science and technology, defence and security, and transport. RAND is online at www.rand.org .
