Starcom Promotes Kline to Lead Consumer Practice
Media agency Starcom USA has promoted SVP Kathy Kline to lead its consumer content planning (CCP) practice, which mines consumer insights for use in the creation of 'people-centric' media campaigns.
In her new role as Director of CCP, Kline will report to Starcom USA President/Chief Strategy Officer Steven Buerger, and will work towards establishing CCP on clients' agendas as well as developing partnerships with strategy, activation and research counterparts in other areas of the group.
'Our ultimate goal is to elevate the CCP discipline to an integral and consistent part of the way that Starcom - and the industry - does business and make it a key source of competitive advantage across our client roster,' said Starcom CEO John Muszynski. 'Kathy's work continually changes the way clients look at and approach consumers, and we look forward to seeing her excel in her new role.'
Prior to joining Starcom in 2005, Kline spent 15 years as a brand planner in Leo Burnett's research department, working across the fast food, packaged goods, apparel and financial services sectors.
