Lowe Director Leaves, Plans KPO Launch
Pranesh Misra, Global Director Marketing Accountability at Lowe Worldwide, is leaving to launch a new firm offering KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing) for marketing data analytics and 'insight mining'.
The venture will be called Brandscapes Worldwide and will have offices in the US, UK, Singapore and Japan and 'back room' operations in Mumbai and Bangalore. It already has the backing of a number of 'angel' investors.
Misra worked previously as President and COO of Lowe's Indian operation, International client director on Unilever for Lowe Asia Pacific and General Manager of Lintas India's MR agency Pathfinders. He joined the group in 1977 as a management trainee.
Misra says he is 'getting a crack team together' and comments: 'Launching a business of my own has been a dream I have nurtured for a while, and now seemed to be an opportune time from several perspectives.' These include the huge potential for the still-developing KPO industry and India's current buoyancy in world business.
Lowe Worldwide CEO Steve Gatfield says the firm is 'sorry to see him go' but wishes Misra every success and expects to continue working with him, adding 'He has been an integral part of the Lowe success story in India and across Asia.'
