Kleffmann Expands North American Operation

Agricultural market research specialist Kleffmann North America (KNA) has announced plans to expand to Iowa City to accommodate current growth and growth projected in the next three years.

KNA has requested support for the $300,000 expansion project, including a $40,000 Community Economic Betterment Account (CIBA) loan from the Iowa Department of Economic Development (DIED) Board of Directors, and $15,000 from the City of Iowa.

Contingent upon approval, KNA will remodel its current office, lease approximately 1,700 square feet of new space, purchase new computer software and equipment, and coordinate a new jobs training program.

Key Account Director Natasha Ivanova says that expansion will provide research solutions to Kleffmann clients in the agricultural machinery, animal health, seed, and crop protection industries.

Expansion and staff recruitment are expected to begin later this summer. KNA plans to employ nine salaried professionals and six hourly interviewers in the next three years.

'Our Iowa City location is ideal because it gives Kleffmann Group access to the best and brightest workforce as we continue our growth in the nation's agricultural epicenter,' comments Key Account Director Dr Tom Klobucar.

KNA is part of the Kleffmann Group, which is headquartered in Lüdinghausen in Germany, and employs 250 staff members and 3,000 interviewers worldwide.
