BRIC Rollout for MattsonJack Epi Centre

Pharma and biotech specialist MattsonJack has rolled out its web-accessible epidemiology database in the emerging markets of Brazil, the Russian Federation, India and China.

The firm's Epi Database BRIC has been designed to help pharma companies weigh up major product decisions about market potential, new revenue opportunities for in-line products, and previously untapped growth markets. Features include rapid data access, data manipulation and data export to Excel.

Information for the four BRIC countries will include research published in scientific literature; public and private data sources; breakouts by country, indication, year, gender, race, and age; and projections through to 2025.

Explained David Robinson, Director of the firm's Epidemiology Group: 'Pharmaceutical companies need an accurate picture of the number of people with major diseases to determine market potential, build forecasts, and conduct strategic planning. All this is accounted for in Epi Database BRIC.'

Founded in 1986, MattsonJack became part of The Kantar Group's research, insight and consultancy network in 2003. The company recently formed a 'co-operative agreement' with LifeScience Consulting Group in Germany to offer research in the German-speaking countries.
