Indian Launch for Synovate Diabetes Monitor

Synovate Healthcare has launched its Diabetes Therapy Monitor in India, linking data about doctors' prescribing behaviour with patient profiles.

The firm says information from the monitor feeds into forecasting models by providing a more in-depth understanding of the number and type of patients taking medication, as well as identifying current unmet needs.

Monica Gangwani, Head of Synovate Healthcare India commented: 'With access to specific and detailed information on diabetes treatment, along with doctors' perceptions about drugs and brands, clients can accurately measure the treatment options being given to diabetic patients.'

The service was launched in China last year, and Sabina Heinz, Associate Director of the Asia Pacific Diabetes Monitors, says the monitor now covers the two countries with the greatest number of diabetes patients in the world. Expansion to Australia is expected later this year.

Synovate Healthcare currently offers Global Therapy Monitors across 20+ markets and six portfolios, covering 14 different disease areas. Last September, the company launched its Oncology Monitor in India, tracking drug prescribing behaviour in major oncology treatment centres across the country.
