ORC Rolls Out Caravan to Canada and Europe

Opinion Research Corporation (ORC) has rolled out its weekly online omnibus CARAVAN - which provides consumer opinion on brand awareness, product image, and market trends - across Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

In the US, CARAVAN is conducted twice each week among 1,000 adults, using Greenfield Online's sample. Each completed interview is weighted to gender, age, geographic region and race, and data is available in less than 10 business days after project authorization.

Under the new CARAVAN International banner, 1,000 interviews will be conducted in Canada, the UK, France and Germany, while in Italy and Spain 500 interviews will be carried out. The firm plans to add other countries in the near future.

'Businesses need access to information about consumer behavior and opinions quickly to aid in the decision-making process,' said Wayne Russum, SVP at ORC. 'For those that operate internationally or are looking to expand into a new country, understanding values, motivations and issues of citizens in multiple cultures can make the difference between success and failure.'

CARAVAN International is the latest addition to the suite of CARAVAN services which include a nationally projectable Telephone Omnibus, a twice weekly Online Omnibus, Teen & Pre-Teen CARAVAN omnibus surveys, and the recently launched Small Business version.

ORC is a member of business and consumer database giant infoGroup.

In March, infoGroup was unable to file its annual report for the fiscal year ended December 31 2007 because of an internal investigation conducted by its Special Litigation Committee. Last week, the group received authorization from the NASDAQ Stock Market that it has regained compliance with the continued listing standards and that its stock will continue to be listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market. However, infoGroup is to be issued with a public reprimand due to the lack of market disclosure with respect to transactions between the firm and Vin Gupta, its former CEO.
