Ipsos France Gains New Leader

After 12 years with the firm, Giorgio Caporusso has been named General Manager of Ipsos in France, following the departure of Joint MDs Pierre Giacometti and Stéphane Truchi at the end of last year.

Giorgio CaporussoCaporusso joined Ipsos in 1996 as Head of the Rome office, before being promoted to the post of MD of Ipsos Italy in Milan. Since January 2006, he has led the firm's Geneva office.

Co-President Jean-Marc Lech commented on the new appointment: 'Giorgio is an experienced professional who knows Ipsos, its values and each of our five businesses. This is a new challenge for him and I am confident in his ability to carry out his new mission.'

Caporusso is replaced in Geneva by Juliette Sicot-Crevet, who previously served as SVP at Ipsos Marketing. Before joining, she worked for 15 years in a number of marketing functions at Procter & Gamble and at Cadbury-Schweppes.

For the first half of the year, Ipsos posted a 4.5% increase in revenue to Euros 462.8m and organic growth of 8.4%.

Last December, Giacometti and Truchi left Ipsos because of 'strategic differences' with Co-Presidents Didier Truchot and Lech. Truchi is now Chairman of the Executive Board of French market research and polling firm Ifop, while Giacometti has established a consultancy called Giacometti Péron & Associates.
