Comcast Creates MR Role
US cable TV firm and Internet service provider Comcast has promoted Ramon Ramos to the newly created post of Vice President of Research and Marketing Solutions.
In his new role, Ramos will be responsible for all market research and analysis for Comcast Sports Group's 10 networks, serving 40 million viewers.
He joins from Comcast Spotlight, where for the past two and a half years, he has served as Director of Research in the Washington, DC region, supporting advertising sales for cross-channel cable TV advertising. Previously, he worked in sales and research for TV stations in Washington and Philadelphia. He holds a BA from Villanova University.
'With accountability and data-based decision making becoming the norm in advertising sales, Ramon's experience will be a tremendous asset as we leverage our on-air growth and innovation into new opportunities for advertisers,' commented Ray Warren, Comcast Sports Group's Chief Revenue Officer.
Comcast, which was founded in 1963, serves a total of 24.6 million cable customers, 16.3 million digital cable customers, 14.4 million high-speed Internet customers, and 5.6 million voice customers. The Philadelphia-based company employs more than 100,000 people.
