New Bazaarvoice Tool Links User Reviews

US word of mouth (WOM) specialist Bazaarvoice has introduced a new social navigation tool to assist to clients' product merchandising and advertising strategies.

With the new QuickTake tool, shoppers can access a summary of user-generated content related to a product, directly on that product's web page. It allows customers to mine the opinions of other consumers, and by clicking through on a 'pro' or 'con' tag, they are then able to identify those reviews with most impact, to help them make the best purchase decisions.

Fully customizable for Bazaarvoice clients, the system can be integrated with existing reviews and review tags to improve product marketing and product page copy and specifications.

For example, an ad promoting an electronics product as 'durable' could include a link to the related product page that sorts all reviews containing a high rating for 'durability'.

'QuickTake fuels social navigation with first-of-its-kind user-generated content sorting via tags, maximizing the impact of reviewer profiles and review dimension data via navigation that is entirely created and controlled by the consumer,' stated Founder and CEO Brett Hurt.

Bazaarvoice offers outsourced technology, services, analytics, and expertise to help companies enhance the online shopping experience with social commerce applications. In the summer, the company launched a new platform to allow companies to connect with customers on their eCommerce web sites.
