CACI Develops Web Intelligence Tool

In the UK, demographic and market information firm CACI has developed a web intelligence tool to enable businesses to monitor customers' web activity and then target them with tailored communications based on their profiles.

The new iConnect system is initially being used by Dennis Publishing, which produces titles including Auto Express, IT Pro and CustomPC, The publisher currently tracks every visit to its sites and combines the information with CACI's consumer datasets to build a picture of lead potential and to guide on future customer and prospect communications.

iConnect will provide a database of Dennis Publishing registered users who clicked onto a specific product or article, enhanced with their contact details. This can then be overlaid with intelligence such as their income, and can then be further enhanced with insight on their proximity to product distribution.

CACI Sales Director Jonathan Burston explains: 'We have launched iConnect to bridge the gap between monitoring consumers' website activity and turning them into prospects, so that organisations can see what products and brands are being considered and then engage customers in the most effective way possible.'

London-headquartered CACI was founded in 1975 to offer a range of marketing solutions and information systems to businesses from all industry sectors. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of CACI International, which employs 12,400 people worldwide.
