SearchHelp Becomes EchoMetrix, Launches Teen Monitor

In the US, content analysis firm SearchHelp is to launch a system monitoring tens of millions of unfiltered teen chats on blogs and online communities. To support the initiative, the firm is changing its name to EchoMetrix and has appointed Jeffrey Greene as CEO.

SearchHelp offers technology to help manage and analyze real-time, natural language expressions and measure sentiment and behavior in digital content, such as blogs, forums, e-mails and mobile text.

Its new Pulse platform has been designed to provide insights into the buying patterns of teenage consumers. The firm says teens have c.$750bn of annual buying power, and Pulse will tell marketing decision makers what they are really saying about products in 26 key categories.

'Marketing decisions will no longer need to rely on speculation, second-guessing and historical information,' says Greene. 'Pulse will allow decisions to be based on real, up-to-the-minute information that enables marketers to not only save money, but to make better-informed decisions.'

Greene has spent the last 30 years as a CEO/COO of businesses in the banking, technology, entertainment and wireless sectors. During his career, he has served as Chairman of Citicorp Information Management Services, President of Island Trading Company, and President of the Pharmacy Fund.

In addition to Greene's appointment, Peter Sealey joins the firm as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board. He is the CEO and founder of management consulting firm The Sausalito Group, and previously held numerous positions at the Coca-Cola Company, where he was made the first Chief Marketing Officer in 1990.

SearchHelp's Founder William Bozsnyak is stepping down as CEO and Chairman of the Board, but will remain as the Secretary and a Board member. He comments: 'It is a pleasure to turn over the reins to a team who is highly recognized and best suited to monetize our new Pulse platform.'

Pulse is currently in alpha test, and the beta version should be available in a few weeks.
