E-learning Experts Open MR Consultancy

In the US, e-learning veterans Jeff Cobb and Celisa Steele have launched Tagoras, a market research and consulting firm specializing in the design, marketing and management of digital learning and knowledge.

Jeff Cobb and Celisa SteeleThe new firm will provide research and consulting services to help trade and professional associations examine the growth of e-learning and social media in the association sector, and the importance of content marketing strategies.

The firm is currently building a library of off-the-shelf research products, and will also offer customer/member surveys, interviews, and focus groups, web trend analysis, market segment identification, and competitor research and analysis.

Prior to setting up Tagoras, Cobb and Steele co-founded association e-learning provider Isoph. As co-Managing Directors of the new firm, Steele will oversee research publications while Cobb will lead consulting and education efforts.

Commenting on the reason behind the launch, Cobb explained: 'Educational content has the potential to be a powerful, strategic part of the marketing mix. Our role is to provide advisory services and up-to-date market research that will help organizations create great knowledge and learning products and incorporate them into an overall member and customer engagement strategy.'

Next month, the firm will publish its first study - Association E-learning 2009: State of the Sector - to provide market data, insights and guidance to help associations achieve better results from their e-learning initiatives.
