Sample U Offers Product Tests On Campus
In California, Alliant International University has opened an on-campus laboratory to conduct product testing for new research service Sample U. Consumers are invited to sample products and groceries in exchange for their feedback, and leave the laboratory with a bag of free goods.
Sample U is the brainchild of Linda Neumann, CEO of consultancy Brilliant Marketing Ideas, with promotional marketing specialist Marla Adams as its President.
Consumers (or 'trysumers') visit the new Sample U laboratory (or 'tryvertising center') to test new products, and provide immediate feedback about their experiences. During their visit, they will complete detailed profiles to help Sample U match them to the demographic needs of the products.
Participants are encouraged to provide the information needed for new product introductions, or existing product improvements. Sample U says that this feedback can be critical to helping manufacturers and retailers market their products.
'Companies need feedback about their products and new inventors need to know how to 'change it up' and make it appealing to the public,' said Adams. 'In these tough economic times, this is going to be an extremely affordable way for them to get the market research they need'.
Sample U will work with Alliant's professors, graduate students and undergraduate students who will provide market research analysis and report writing.
