'Second Generation' for Booming Peanut Labs

Revenues at sample provider Peanut Labs grew by 300% in 2007, which according to the firm, makes it the 'fastest growing sample source in North America'. The company has also launched a new platform to deliver surveys to respondents within social networks.

I-frame, the firm's latest 'second generation' platform, has been designed to make respondents feel as if they are part of the social experience. Recruitment, incentives, and surveys are delivered as part of a 'fun activity', and Peanut Labs says that as survey respondents have not gathered for the sole purpose of taking a survey, response rates are substantially over the industry norms at an average of 29%.

'Our new approach to providing fresh sample from social networks has resonated with the research community,' stated CEO Simon Chadwick. 'As Web 2.0 becomes the new natural online environment for over 500 million people worldwide, our socially networked sample offers a unique way of expanding the reach of research online.'

Peanut Labs provides access to millions of 13-64 year olds through more than 100 social networks. European sampling agency Sample Answers recently signed an exclusive agreement to become Peanut Labs' UK reseller of Sample 3.0, as part of the US firm's plan to extend survey reach beyond the US and Canada to more than 30 countries worldwide.
