New Analytics Platform Covers iPhone and Web
In San Francisco, Facebook-funded Kontagent has launched the private beta version of its Social Analytics Platform, claimed as the first to offer analytics and viral optimization tools for iPhone and web applications with Facebook Connect support.
Kontagent is delivered via a hosted, on-demand service. The company was founded in 2007 by entrepreneurs Albert Lai, CEO and Jeffery Tseng, CTO. Lai was most recently founder/CEO of BubbleShare and Tseng was CEO of Aevena.
'With the successful launch of the Facebook Connect platform for the iPhone and other web destinations, developers and marketers are seeking new ways to take advantage of rich social data for their offerings', says Lai. With this launch, he believes, 'developers no longer need to rely solely on the Apple App Store for exposure and growth, and have a new source of distribution though their customers social networks.'
Co-founder Jeffery Tseng adds: 'We're not only looking at the data that's just inside of social networks, but optimizing across the emerging social, and mobile web that is linked with Facebook Connect, as we bring the power of social analytics and viral distribution to the iPhone platform... These tools level the playing field for many. It has enabled even the smallest developers to gain access to advanced optimization tools that were previously only available to top developers.'
