SPSS Upgrade to Help Share and Integrate Analytics

MR software and predictive analytics giant SPSS is rolling out PASW Collaboration and Deployment Services 4, which it says provides an integrated platform for sharing, managing, automating and integrating analytic assets directly into business processes.

Based on a product formerly known as Predictive Enterprise Services, the new release reflects the involvement of increasing numbers of users - 'from the business line manager to expert analyst' - in the analytic lifecycle, says SPSS, making it more important than ever to securely share analytical assets, and make it easy for analysts to publish results to those making decisions.

Features include more options for publishing analytical results; enhancements to the Automation Service with additional integration options; a Real Time Scoring Service to deploy analytical scores into existing applications; and a secure, centralized, searchable repository for predictive models, statistical analyses, reports and PASW Data Collection survey questions and results.

According to Jason Verlen, VP of Research and Development and Chief Product Strategist at SPSS, 'Organizations that understand the immense strategic value of Predictive Analytics also recognize that, to gain the greatest value from their investment, they need to encourage collaboration between those who develop analytical models, reports or surveys, and those who rely on them to guide decision-making. PASW Collaboration and Deployment Services 4 provides the foundation to integrate analytics into key business processes, so the right decisions are made and the best actions are taken on a consistent, repeatable basis.'

The new release is available from next month.
