ACNielsen Merges Tracking Services in Australia

ACNielsen has merged and rebranded its two leading advertising expenditure tracking services in Australia, AIM Data and MMS Monitoring Services, under the global ACNielsen AdEx brand.

ACNielsen acquired MMS Monitoring Services in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia in December 1999. The newly branded ACNielsen AdEx service will operate out of the company's Neutral Bay offices.

According to Ian Garland, managing director, ACNielsen Media Services Australia, "ACNielsen AdEx represents the future for advertising expenditure measurement (AdEx) in Australia. As a fully integrated division within ACNielsen's global AdEx service, we look forward to leveraging our global expertise to improve our service offering in Australia".

ACNielsen is the leading supplier of advertising expenditure information worldwide, providing services in over 31 countries. In Australia, ACNielsen AdEx provides monthly ad spend information and analysis on nearly 600 individual media sources.

The newly rebranded AdEx operation offers comprehensive advertising expenditure data and software embracing consumer advertising markets, business to business markets and direct mail monitoring.
