Nielsen//NetRatings Increases Numbers on Worldwide Internet Measurement Panel

According to Nielsen//NetRatings' its Internet research sample now has more than 110,000 members under real-time measurement worldwide, an increase of 1,275% within a fifteen month time span.

Nielsen//NetRatings, an Internet audience measurement service from Nielsen Media Research, ACNielsen eRatings.com and NetRatings, Inc., built the panel from 8,000 panellists in March 1999 to 65,000 panellists in the USA, and to 45,000 panellists internationally at the present time. The Nielsen//NetRatings panel is comprised of users selected using Random Digit Dial (RDD) methodology.

The data gathered from these panels supplies Nielsen//NetRatings' clients with detailed information about national and global Internet marketplaces. By the end of 2000, Nielsen//NetRatings expects to cover 80% of the world's Internet audience
