Within the last week, Isis Research has launched a new service, opened up in Japan and taken on more people in the UK.

The agency's new service PULSE provides regular physician contact across the world, either by telephone or at conferences. With its dedicated team of 7 executive researchers, PULSE guarantees quality results at high speed.

Meanwhile across the other side of the globe, the company has established an Isis Research representative office in Japan. The office is located within the offices of RBC, Inc, a leading marketing research and business consultancy in Japan, and is the first step in the development of a broader strategic alliance between the two companies.

RBC, and its subsidiary company Coral Pacific Inc, offer a complete range of interview-based research in the healthcare field, including interviews with physicians, hospital administrators, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as well as patient and consumer interviews. In addition to traditional market research, RBC also provides studies on market size, wholesaler evaluation, competitor analysis, and e-commerce developments in the pharmaceutical, medical equipment, devices and consumables fields.

Closer to home, Isis has taken on two new recruits. Nick Reynolds has joined Isis Research as Isis Decision Scripts Live (DSL) Manager. Isis DSL, is the new continuous service from Isis which monitors, monthly, all opportunity scripts written by UK GPs.

Nick joins from Ipsos-RSL Health where he was a Senior Research Executive working on ad hoc studies both in the UK and overseas. Previous to Ipsos-RSL he worked at CompuFile Ltd for 3 years.

Gareth Phillips has joined Isis Research as European Quantitative Manager in the Europe ad hoc department. Gareth has worked at IMS Health for the last 4 years.
