New Global Client for Nielsen//NetRatings Service

Nielsen//NetRatings, purportedly the fastest growing Internet audience measurement service in the industry, has signed up Yahoo! to its service in 14 countries in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

The agreement provides Yahoo! with access to Nielsen//NetRatings' audience measurement service, which provides audience activity information on websites and advertising banners collected in real time from representative panels of Internet users in each country. The NetRatings software monitors panellist activity in real time as they surf the Web, move within sites and are exposed to banners.

We have seen tremendous results since we announced the first global Internet measurement service late last year, as buyers and sellers of online advertising have responded enthusiastically to our information quality, our proprietary technology and our patent-pending BannerTrackSM service."

Yahoo! has subscribed to Nielsen//NetRatings in Australia, Ireland, Japan, Singapore, Canada, the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil and Hong Kong. The company has been a subscriber to the Nielsen//NetRatings service in the US since 1999.
