Maritz Marketing Research has launched a state-of-the-art Web-based
reporting tool, eQuest, which provides users with online access to
summarised data and reports from market research studies.
The concept of eQuest evolved out of the need to develop Web-based reporting
that could be set up more easily and quickly, and that was more
cost-efficient than building a custom site. Because the basic shell is in
place, the set up time is reduced and is less expensive than building a
custom reporting site.
An eQuest data-reporting site can be accessed from anywhere on the globe on
a twenty four hour, seven day a week basis. The aim of the system is to
allow users to work with the numbers, not just view them.
According to director of Internet research, Wally Balden, "eQuest provides
faster access to information, allows data to be easily updated, and the
client is able to define the information of interest. It is
password-protected so the client also controls who has access to the
information. The data can easily be exported into other software, so
secondary reports are quickly produced."
