Survey.com and OpinionSurveys.com have announced the formation of a
partnership designed to provide Survey.com with access to the
million-member, multi-ethnic consumer panel developed by OpinionSurveys.com.
The OpinionSurveys.com Consumer Panel provides Survey.com with the ability
to target both adults and large numbers of youth.
An increasing number of companies are turning to large online panels to
fulfil their market research needs. Internet research has provided greatly
reduced turnaround times and larger response sets for the same, or lower,
costs compared to traditional methods. These advantages are compelling for
companies facing shorter time-to-market cycles, increased competition, and
the need to dig more deeply into their customer and prospect bases to
understand different market segments.
According to Rik Kinney, Executive VP at The Dohring Company, (the parent
company of OpinionSurveys.com) "With over 160 fields of data on our
panellists, OpinionSurveys.com is uniquely positioned to provide advanced
demographic targeting and research capabilities to Survey.com. And with our
panel growing at a rate of over 250,000 a month we will be at 3 million plus
by spring of next year. We are particularly proud of the fact that our
online panel includes more than 300,000 youth, including children age 12 and
under. We have parental consent forms on file, and the ability to safely
survey this valuable segment within COPPA regulations while fully
safeguarding the privacy of our panel members."
"This is a research breakthrough," added Michael Bach, president and CEO of
Survey.com. "With such a large online consumer panel, we can provide our
clients with large samples of traditionally hard to reach demographics, such
as youth and seniors in a very short period of time. We are particularly
interested in the large number of youth panellists, as the ability to
understand and track the rapid changes in the 24-and-under market has never
been more critical."
