Momentum is increasing in the offices of ATR Australia with only several
weeks until the operation goes live at the beginning of 2001.
The recruitment of the new panel continues, with the emphasis shifting
toward the demographic balance as the completion of the panel is approached.
The contract with OzTAM, (the Australian equivalent of Auditel and BARB),
includes the provision of a program and break database and the appropriate
resources are now being put in place for this service. Using the new AGBMS
"MultiGrabber" technology, a perfect record of all TV events on 25 channels
around Australia will shortly be available to merge with the ratings data.
The ATR website was launched in August. The website will play an important
role in the distribution of the data to OzTAM’s subscriber clients and
successful test data transfers have already been conducted. The website will
provide up to date information on ATR progress into the New Year.
ATR Australia has been awarded the seven year TAM contract by OzTAM. The
contract is based upon a panel of 3,000 homes in five major metropolitan
markets with data delivery to commence on 1 January 2001.
