New KMR Director to Boost Television Audience Measurement

Andrew Floyd is to join the global research network Kantar Media Research as board director effective from the beginning of January 2001.

Andrew Floyd moves from AC Nielsen Media International where he was Managing Director of Media, responsible for media research services in the Asia Pacific. He has over 30 years of research experience and has previously worked for Attwoods, AGB UK, Thames Television, AGB McNair Hong Kong, and the Survey Research Group. His role will focus on the management of television audience measurement (TAM) services offered through the KMR partner companies: AGB, IBOPE, RSMB, IMRB and Adcom. KMR manages, through equity positions, TAM operations in nearly 30 countries worldwide including those of Latin America, India, Australia and was awarded the UK BARB contract in May 2000. In addition to the TAM role Andrew Floyd will also be heavily involved in developing KMR's Internet traffic measurement products, and media research business development. According to Richard Silman executive chairman of KMR, "We are delighted to have someone with Andrew's experience on the KMR board - as TV and Internet audience measurement become increasingly global it is vital to maintain a central strategic focus."
