15/12/00

Harris Interactive is to work with Sigma Dos Interactiva (SDi), a new division of the Sigma Dos Group in Spain, to expand and develop online research capabilities in that region.

Sigma Dos Group is comprised of 14 companies, five in Spain and the remainder in Portugal and Latin America. While Sigma Dos is the main offline research agency of Sigma Dos Group, Sigma Dos Interactiva will be fully dedicated to online social, political, marketing and branding/corporate image research. SDi conducts online research in Spain for vertical sectors such as e-commerce; website evaluation; banner tests and customer satisfaction studies. Using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, SDi is fully dedicated to online social, political, marketing and branding/corporate image research. Key research areas include financial, telecommunications, consumer goods, media, electronics (consumer and utilities) and health care. SDi also conducts research for governmental and educational institutions. According to Daniela Jouet, managing director of SDi, "In order to maintain its position as a market research leader in Spain, the Sigma Dos Group has always listened to market demands and has acted upon them. With the call for online research in 2000, SDi was prompted to seek an alliance with Harris Interactive, experts in Internet-based technologies and methodologies. Using this new research platform will give us the edge we need to stay ahead of the competition in Europe."
