An added bonus to this year’s MRS Conference in Brighton is the chance to watch live footage after the event. Vox Pops International, a video research company, has been busy during the conference interviewing and filming delegates about opinions on the role of market research, trends in the industry and its future prospects.

The aim is then to transcribe and edit this footage and make it openly available on Vox Pop’s new service, V-SEARCH, a large online database of consumer and expert video soundbites.

At present, V-SEARCH contains more than 5,000 responses from consumers talking about leading brands and issues. Topics covered to date include the use of intranets and the kids and youth market. The service is being expanded to include business to business interviews with industry experts. These video soundbites are designed to stimulate discussion and to help market researchers illustrate their findings from larger studies.
