17/5/01

According to the latest e-MORI Technology Tracker results for April, almost double the number of men in the UK owns a PDA (digital electronic personal organiser or palm top computer) than the number of women.

In more detail the findings show that 2.8 million men own a PDA compared to 1.5 million women. The Tracker also shows that since October 2000, the number of PDA owners among GB adults has risen by over 1 million (3.1 million, October 2000 to 4.3 million March/April 2001).

e-MORI’s Technology Tracker survey is carried out fortnightly, interviewing a nationally representative sample of adults (aged 15+) across Great Britain.
