NOP Automotive Opens New Office
24/5/01

NOP Automotive, the specialist automotive research division of the NOP Research Group, has recently announced the opening of its new full-service office in Irvine, California, USA.

With over one third of US car and truck sales and half of the nameplates now coming from manufacturers headquartered on the West Coast of America, the new office will provide these clients with a local-based service. NOP Automotive Senior Vice President, Brent Jessee, will head the operation.

It is thought that NOP’s new Automotive office reflects the growing importance of the region to the car industry. The Ford Motor Company is building a new campus housing the US headquarters for Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover and Aston Martin. Mazda is also on the same campus. Other manufacturers with headquarters in the region include Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Suzuki, Daewoo, Kia and Hyundai. In addition, the region is the home of many of the growing number of influential Internet-based car sellers and information providers, such as autobytel.com and autoweb.com.

According to Adrian Wimbush, chairman of NOP Automotive, "Many of the automotive companies in the area are existing clients of NOP Automotive and our Irvine office will allow us to provide a more immediate, and therefore enhanced, service."
