At Forrester Research, Emily Green has been promoted from Managing Director, Europe, to Vice President, International, effective immediately. Simultaneously, Green's successor Robert Davidson is named Managing Director, Europe with immediate effect.

Green will work in tandem with Davidson for a period at the company's European Research Center in Amsterdam, before relocating to Forrester's headquarters in the USA later this summer.

Forrester’s President Bill Bluestein commented, "Emily will continue to have overall responsibility for Europe, but this move will allow her to focus more keenly on the continued expansion of our business in the Asia/Pacific region. The cross-cultural skills Emily honed during her three years leading our growth in Europe, in addition to prior business experience in Japan, will be crucial to the establishment of successful sales and research presence in the region."

Green launched the company's first international research effort in Amsterdam in 1998 and led the growth of European activities, including the integration of acquisitions Fletcher Research in the UK and FORIT GmbH in Germany. She first joined Forrester in 1995 as an analyst in online services, the Internet, and developing bandwidth technologies and eventually directing the consumer technology research team before her move abroad.

Reporting to Green, Davidson will work from the company's regional headquarters in Amsterdam, and will be responsible for Forrester's European operations. Prior to his appointment, Davidson was Vice President and Corporate Controller for Baan Company N.V., where he played a key role in the company's restructuring following its acquisition by Invensys.
