Communispace Hires CT and Strategy Officer

In the US, Communispace - which creates online customer insight communities - has appointed Howard Kogan as Chief Technology and Strategy Officer.

Howard KoganKogan will lead the firm's engineering, product management, strategy research and innovation teams.

Since it was founded in 1999, Communispace has created more than 350 customer communities for clients such as Kraft, Hewlett-Packard, Unilever, and GlaxoSmithKline. It is headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, with additional offices in Atlanta, Chicago, London, New York, San Francisco, as well as San Remo, Italy and Sydney, Australia.

Last month, the firm reported a 29% increase in revenue for the first half of 2010, with sales up to $22.5m from $17.4m in the prior year period.

Kogan joins from digital marketing agency Molecular and has more than fifteen years' relevant experience. Before Molecular, he led teams on classified software and hardware integration projects for the National Security Agency and the US Air Force.
