Ipsos Understanding UnLtd Promotes Sharp to CEO

In the US, Ipsos Understanding UnLtd (IUU) - the firm's qual and innovation research brand - has promoted former P&G veteran Kristin Sharp to the post of CEO. She also becomes a member of the North American leadership team.

Kristin SharpSharp joined the firm last year, following a 13-year career at Procter & Gamble (P&G) where she held a number of positions in the marketing and market research departments. Latterly, she was Global and North America Director of Consumer and Market Knowledge for Home Care, before which she led Consumer & Marketing Knowledge for the firm's feminine care products across North America.

She takes over her new Cincinnati-based role from Marilyn O'Brien, who co-founded the IUU division and has moved into a global strategic advisory and client management role at Ipsos.

Sharp will report to Jim Smith, Chairman and CEO of Ipsos in North America, and to Pierre LeManh, Global CEO of the Ipsos Marketing Specialization.

'I joined IUU last year because this team has proven itself time and time again to be amongst the most innovative, forward-thinking and client obsessed groups in the research business,' states Sharp. 'I'm looking to build on those strengths.'
