Voxco Launches Acuity4 Social

Canadian research software firm Voxco has launched Acuity4 Social, a social media monitoring and insights platform which includes sentiment analytics tools and reporting capabilities.

Raymond CyrVoxco develops applications for collecting and processing data across multiple channels such as online, telephone and face-to-face, for use in market research and social surveys.

In addition to its HQ in Canada, the firm has operations in the US, France, Germany, the UK and Australia.

Acuity4 Social has been developed to help clients monitor their brand, carry out product assessment, and benchmark against competitors. The service taps into an array of web sources such as social networks, blogs, micro-blogs, news feeds, articles and review boards, and extracts the most relevant information for chosen topics, using natural language processing, machine learning algorithms and semantic analysis.

'We believe that the core value of social media monitoring tools is in the analysis, not in the monitoring they provide.' states Voxco Chairman Raymond Cyr. 'Gathering millions of posts and comments from the web has little value if this enormous amount of information is not synthesized, analyzed and organized in a way that decision makers can act upon.'
