Oracle Added Value Boosts Senior Team in HK

Brand specialist Oracle Added Value has named ex-Illuminas MD Matthew Carr Deputy Managing Director of its Hong Kong office; and promoted Arthur Tam to the new role of Head of Talent Development, Greater China.

Carr joins with twenty years' experience. Most recently, he was MD, APAC of Illuminas, responsible for the consultancy's Hong Kong and Shanghai offices. Prior to this, he served as Head of Marketing for broadcaster Eurosport in Paris, and held research roles at DVL Smith and Continental Research in London.

Tam, who currently serves as Head of Regional Research in Hong Kong, will move to the newly created position in January, taking responsibility for the recruitment, training and development of staff in the Greater China region. He will work closely with Dave Blackshaw, Chief Talent Officer of the Added Value group, and with Kelvin Ma, MD of the China business.

Before joining the firm, Tam spent more than 13 years at Synovate. Both he and Carr will report to Katie McClintock, MD, Hong Kong, who comments: 'Matthew makes a valuable addition to the team. His leadership, strategic insights and expertise will be important assets as we grow our research teams and expand new business opportunities in the region. We are also very pleased that Arthur is taking on this role, to drive Added Value Group's commitment to acquiring and retaining top talent.'
