MarketTools Debuts 'Pop-up Communities'

Research software and services firm MarketTools has introduced 'Pop-up Communities', which it claims provides all the benefits of MROCs (market research online communities), but without the associated long timelines.

The benefits of MROCs, but quicker?With headquarters in San Francisco and London, MarketTools offers online survey tools though a range of branded technologies including TrueSample, Zoomerang and ZoomPanel.

The new Pop-up Communities service was developed specifically for use in short-term projects - typically two to six weeks - to provide targeted insights on key issues.

Jim O'Hara, SVP of Market Research Solutions comments: 'Many researchers are turning to a hybrid research model that uses both quant and qual research to give them a broader scope of insights, but are frustrated with the high cost and time commitment associated with traditional MROCs. With this launch, researchers can enrich research insights by delving deep to gather detailed qual insights on a focused topic for about the same cost as a traditional focus group.'
