Cambiar Introduces InFoRm MR Trend Assessment Tool

Cambiar, the management consultancy dedicated to the MR industry, has introduced a solution called 'InFoRm Strategy Assessment' to help executives understand the global trends that are driving transformation in the sector.

Beth RoundsFounded in 2004 by US researchers Simon Chadwick and Jay Wilson, Cambiar specializes in helping market research companies manage change through its practices which cover HR, sales performance, 'research transformation', and marketing.

Through the firm's 'Future of Research' survey, participants are invited to provide their opinions on broad industry trends and new methodologies, while rating their company on the barriers which they feel prevent success. Last year, the study found that 60% of corporate research VPs expect 'major transformation' in the MR sector by 2020, with 70% of them believing change will happen by 2015.

Cambiar's InFoRm tool, which is based on the study, provides industry benchmarks to help users determine where they are in terms of trends, and where they should focus their efforts in terms of investment and product portfolio and the use of quant information for strategic planning.

Partner Beth Rounds (pictured) explains: 'The challenge in strategic planning is to accurately assess where you need to head in the next five years and what key trends you should capitalize on. Equally hard is to make sense of all the predictions that are out there and to know which ones you should pay attention to. InFoRm brings an objective 'voice' to the strategic planning process.'

The new solution - which is offered either on its own or in conjunction with the company's suite of strategic planning solutions - has been developed in partnership with The Gilfeather Group, Gazelle Global Research Services and MarketSight.
