WPP's Greenwood Replaces Friend at Ipsos MediaCT

Ipsos MediaCT - which measures how consumers access, use and respond to media content - has appointed former WPP leader Jon Greenwood as President in the US, replacing Bruce Friend who left the firm in July.

Jon GreenwoodGreenwood (pictured) joins from WPP's ad technology business Media Innovation Group (MIG), where he served as Global President, overseeing businesses in the US, Europe, South America and Asia. Prior to that, he was EVP of Global Operations and General Counsel at WPP's 24/7 Real Media online ad services unit. He began his career as a corporate litigation attorney, practicing law for eight years at a number of New York-based law firms, before moving into the media and market research sector.

In his new role based at Ipsos' North America headquarters in Manhattan, Greenwood will be responsible for the firm's Media/Tech Analytics team, the Motion Picture group, and Audience Measurement teams.

Greenwood replaces Friend, who left the company in July to take up the role of President, Media and Entertainment at panel and research technology specialist Vision Critical.
