Panel and research technology specialist Vision Critical has appointed former Ipsos OTX MediaCT President Bruce Friend to lead its Media and Entertainment division.
Friend (pictured) left his previous role in July, saying he would either be returning to the client side or working for a smaller provider company. He joined OTX in 2003 and became divisional President in April 2010, following the firm's acquisition by Ipsos. Earlier in his career, Friend held senior research positions at Columbia Tristar Worldwide Marketing Group (a division of Sony Pictures), MTV Networks, the Disney Channel, Home Box Office, Telemundo Group, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Y&R Advertising.
