Hodgman is New KISSmetrics CEO

'Person-based' analytics platform KISSmetrics has appointed Will Hodgman, founder of AdRelevance and M:Metrics and previously EVP of International at comScore, as its new CEO, replacing KISSmetrics co-founder Hiten Shah, who moves to the role of President.

Will HodgmanHodgman, who has been on the company's Board since 2012, now takes charge of company strategy and will commute from Seattle to San Francisco. During his career he has also worked as EVP of Nielsen Online, and at McCann Erickson, Sightward, Inc. and Jupiter Media Metrix. M:Metrics was sold to comScore in 2004.

KISSmetrics was established in 2008 and in June this year sold its microsurvey platform KISSinsights to app feedback service CatchFree, Last month, it agreed a half million dollar payment to settle a class-action lawsuit over its use of 'supercookies'. Co-founder Neil Patel says of Hodgman's appointment: 'For my co-founder and I, it's a great privilege to work with him. He's been on our board for over two years and he has guided us through critical decisions ... especially on the sales side. Over the last year we have grown at a rapid pace, and with Will as the CEO, we expect to continue to scale the company, especially on the sales side.' Shah says the company expects 2013 to be 'a break-out year' for the firm's technology, with rapidly increasing sales in the SMB market.
