Access Partnership Hires for US and UK HQs

The Access Partnership has made key appointments on both sides of the Atlantic. Kevin Mayo joins as EVP of its US office in Philadelphia, and Pascal King as Global Director at its London HQ. Thalia Nikoglou and Ahmed Edathodu have also joined as Consultants.

Kevin Mayo and Pascal KingThe specialist market access consultancy was launched by healthcare specialist The Research Partnership last September to help manufacturers develop pricing, market access and payer engagement strategies.

Mayo joins with seventeen years' experience working in life sciences. This included leadership roles at Endo Health Solutions, where he served as Senior Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research; Bridgehead International, as VP and Head, US Pharmaceutical Practice; Daciihi Sankyo as Director, Medical Research and Strategies & Head USA Health Economics; Novartis as Therapeutic Head; and Pfizer as Economic Strategies Team Leader. He currently lectures in Applied Health Economics and Outcomes Research at Jefferson School of Population Health, and is an Adjunct Professor on the graduate Pharmaceutical Business program at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

King has more than twenty years' experience in pharmaceutical research, development, medical affairs and commercialisation. Most recently, he worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb Europe in a Market Access role, prior to which he was Senior Director Commercial Operations/Market Access at Biovail (now Valeant Pharmaceuticals); Head of Market Access Ireland at Novartis; and Principal Consultant at EUPharmaCon. Earlier, he founded clinical research organisation Eclipse Clinical Technologies; served as VP Commercial International Marketing at Lundbeck; and was one of the founding members of Icon Clinical Research.

Nikoglou was previously Health Economics and Outcomes Research Manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb, prior to which she work in research and analytics roles at Merck Sharp & Dohme and i3 Innovus.

Edathodu joins from Double Helix Consulting, where for the past three years he was a Consultant working across a range of market access, pricing and reimbursement issues. Prior to completing an internship at molecular diagnostic company Lumora, he worked at Agada HealthSciences.
