Future Foundation Expands to Sweden

UK-based consumer insight and strategic consulting firm Future Foundation has expanded its international operations to Stockholm, Sweden, with the opening of a new office led by former GfK leader Anders Brogren.

Anders Brogren and Mats OlssonThe London-based firm, which was launched in 1996, draws on a proprietary quant and qual research programme across 25 global markets, tracking from trend spotters in more than 50 markets, a panel of industry experts, and third party data in order to identify and forecast social and consumer trends. The company's management team bought out previous owner Experian in 2009.

Future Foundation recently expanded to the US with the opening of an office in New York, where it has relocated Heather Corker in the role of VP, Consumer Trends, North America.

Brogren (pictured) joins the new Swedish operation with a 25-year background in the research industry. Most recently, he served as a Senior Advisor at market research technology firm Dapresy, prior to which he was MD of GfK Roper, and he worked at SIFO (TNS/RI), where he was responsible for the Brand & Consumer strategy division. During his career, he has also held client-side positions with Swedish Match, Scandinavian Airlines, TNT and SCA as well as a consulting role at Boston Consulting Group.

In his new role, Brogren is partnered by Mats Olsson, founder of SIC Insight and previously Head of Marketing for Nordic investment bank Carnegie; and Raila Mörén, who most recently held positions as Head of CMI Nordic at Unilever and BI Manager at Ericsson Mobile Communications.
