IAG Co-Founder Alan Gould is New uSamp CEO

Alan Gould, the co-founder of IAG Research, has joined online sampling and technology company uSamp as Chief Executive Officer, while the firm's founders Matt Dusig and Gregg Lavin will continue to operate the firm's core sampling business.

Alan GouldLos Angeles-based uSamp was launched by goZing founders Dusig and Lavin in 2008. Last month, the firm opened an office in Paris, France, following European openings in London in 2011 and in Frankfurt last year, and it also has a further five offices across the US and a base in New Delhi, India. The firm's mobile technology and SaaS platform currently provide companies with access to its twelve million-strong global panel of survey respondents.

Gould (pictured) and Ken Orkin co-founded IAG Research in 2000, to provide real-time ad effectiveness measures for programs viewed on TV, the Internet and mobile devices. Their firm was acquired by Nielsen in 2008 for $250m, and rebranded as Nielsen IAG, where Gould served as CEO of Advertiser Solutions until 2010.

Since 2011, Gould has been a Venture Partner with uSamp backer Greycroft Partners, and has served as a member of uSamp's Board of Directors. He recently served on the Boards of VIZU, which Nielsen acquired last summer, Harris Interactive, and the child literacy organization READ Alliance.

Commenting on the appointment, Dusig said: 'We are excited to welcome Alan to his new role as CEO. He is an industry leading product innovator for marketing data and analytics, with a history of successfully starting and leading companies to sustained growth. We are certain he will bring great energy and leadership to our already strong team.'
