Cambiar Hires GM Veteran for Research Impact Arm

Cambiar, the management consultancy dedicated to the MR and analytics industry, has appointed General Mills veteran Russ Rubin as an Associate in its Research Impact Practice.

Russ RubinFounded in 2004 by US researchers Simon Chadwick and Jay Wilson, Cambiar specializes in helping market research companies manage change via a number of distinct practices: HR, sales performance, research transformation, and marketing. It also offers a range of training programs.

Rubin (pictured) joins with nearly 40 years' industry experience, and most recently worked as SVP, Strategic Accounts at MR software and services firm MarketTools. Prior to this he spent more than 30 years at General Mills, where he held senior roles in the core food businesses, and also in the GM restaurants and retail business units. In addition, he ran GM's proprietary 90-person in-house research agency, spent three years in Switzerland setting up CPW (Cereal Partners Worldwide - a joint venture between General Mills and Nestlé), and for the last five years was responsible for the MR function of the International Division, formed after the firm's acquisition of Pillsbury.

In his new role, Rubin will work with senior researcher Tim Key who joined the firm as a Research Impact Associate earlier this month.
