Manish Bhatia Joins comScore as Chief Revenue Officer

In New York, digital measurement specialist comScore has hired former Arbitron EVP, New Product Innovation Manish Bhatia for its newly created role of Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing the sales, servicing, sales operations and business operations teams on a global basis.

Manish BhatiaBhatia (pictured) joined ratings giant Arbitron (now Nielsen Audio) in 2012, to direct the firm's cross-platform initiatives and lead teams tasked with developing non-radio research services. Prior to this, he was CEO of ad performance firm Symphony Advanced Media, and he spent 21 years at Nielsen, latterly as President of its Advanced Digital Services team, which focuses on set-top box analytics and insights. During his time with the firm, he was also part of the team that created NetRatings, and he worked as Head of Global Operations for Nielsen Online.

In his new role, he will report to CEO-elect Serge Matta, who comments: 'I could not be more excited to welcome Manish to the company as we position [it] to take advantages of new opportunities - particularly in cross-platform and digital campaign measurement. Manish has built a stellar career in the media industry, and brings a strong record of accomplishments on both the traditional and digital side of the equation.'

Yesterday, comScore reported a 15% rise in fiscal fourth quarter revenue to $76.5m, while net income was $170k against a year-earlier loss of $1.6m. Looking ahead, the firm is planning to invest an additional eight to ten million dollars to support expansion in the total video measurement market.
