Decipher Expands Teams in US and UK

In the US and UK, California-based research tech firm Decipher has appointed four business development staff members, including Gary Vigeant who joins as Director of Client Development after seventeen years at GfK.

Gary Vigeant, Ed Agvent, Toby Fowler and John GibsonDecipher is known for its flagship Beacon platform, which includes a suite of custom survey tools for authoring and deploying relatively complex online surveys including multiple languages and branding customization. Earlier this year, the firm added a new Sample and Panel API to the platform, allowing users to integrate panellist data from their own databases and other sources.

In Connecticut, Vigeant joins the US sales team, after most recently serving as VP Business Development at GfK Custom Research North America, where he had overall responsibility for business development within the GfK Mystery Shopping practice.

Ed Agvent joins Decipher's US sales team as Senior Director of Business Development. He has more than three decades' client and agency side market research experience, and most recently worked for digital marketing research firm, InsightExpress as Senior Director Agency Solutions. During his career, Agvent has also held director-level positions at iVillage, NPD Group, Yankelovich Partners, MRCA Information Services, and Greenfield Consulting.

In London, Toby Fowler has joined Decipher's UK arm Decrypt as Client Development Director focused primarily on the firm's European expansion. Prior to this, he held a similar position with Research Now.

John Gibson is also based in London, where he serves as Client Development Manager. He joins with more than five years' market research experience, gained at Opinion Matters and Research Now.
