Kantar Hires BBC Exec as MD, UK TV & Video Measurement

In London, Kantar Media has hired former BBC director Margo Swadley for the new role of Managing Director, UK TV & Video Measurement.

Margo SwadleySwadley (pictured) joined the BBC in 2008 as Head of Audience Research, A&M (Audio & Music), before moving to the role of Head of Audiences, Television, in charge of a team of twenty researchers and audience planners. More recently, she has served as Director, M&A, Charter, leading a virtual team to provide 'forward thinking' of what the BBC should look like in the next ten to twenty years, simultaneously serving as a BARB Board member. Before joining the broadcaster, she was a Director at Added Value and at Research International.

In her new role, Swadley will take responsibility for Kantar's contracts to provide panel and census measurement services to BARB, including the introduction of the TV player report and measurement of viewing on tablets.
