RetailNext Introduces Shopper Understanding 'Accelerator Kit'

San Jose, CA-based in-store big data analytics specialist RetailNext has packaged up its solutions into a service called the 'Accelerator Kit', to help retailers better understand shoppers and shopping behavior.

RetailNext Introduces Shopper Understanding 'Accelerator Kit'RetailNext (previously known as BVI) delivers a real-time solution to enable retailers and manufacturers to collect, analyze and visualize in-store data. Using video analytics, Wi-Fi detection, more than 30,000 on-shelf sensors, and data from point-of-sale systems and other sources, the firm tracks more than 400 million shoppers and says it analyzes trillions of data points each year. Last summer, the company raised $30m to expand operations in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America and other emerging markets.

Its new 'Accelerator Kit' has been put together to provide small and medium sized retailers, small retail stores, and large companies in the physical retail space with access to RetailNext's video sensors and patented software platform. Using the solution, retailers can analyze how shoppers shop, and measure pass-by traffic and capture rate, percentage of repeat visitors, frequency of store visits, duration of visits, unique visitors and more.

CMO Marc Dietz explains: 'Since RetailNext pioneered the space in 2007, in-store retail analytics have primarily been the province of large-scale retailers with hundreds of locations and relatively vast resources. But, that's no longer the case, as RetailNext's comprehensive new solution offers retailers of all sizes and store footprints powerful shopper insights necessary to better compete in the rapidly changing world of retail.'
